Honours BA, BEd (Philosophy Major)(TB)

Six Year program

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Primary/Junior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Honours degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements)

First Year:
(a) One FCE in Philosophy at the first-year level
(b) One FCE in English, French, or Indigenous Language
(c) One and one half FCEs from Type B courses (see Note below concerning Type E course requirement)
(d) One FCE in Science (General Science 1000 recommended) (see Concurrent Education Content Regulations #1, regarding eligible Science courses)
(e) Education 1050

Second Year:
(a) Three FCEs in Philosophy at the second-year level
(b) One half-course from Type B courses
(d) One FCE electives
(e) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) Three FCEs in Philosophy at the third or fourth-year level
(b) One half-course in Music or Visual Arts
(c) One FCE elective
(d) One half-course elective in Education (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)
Note: Concurrent Education students should check the timetable for Pre-Professional Program course offerings.

Fourth Year:
(a) One and one half FCEs in Philosophy at the fourth-year level
(b) One and one half FCEs in Philosophy at the third or fourth-year level
(c) Two FCE electives

Note:

All students must take a one half FCE Indigenous Content Type E course. This may be taken in any year of study and may be taken either as an elective or as part of another program requirement.
