Six Year program

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Primary/Junior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Honours degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Informationfor Education requirements)

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement in the Geography programs will be met by taking Geography 1190.

First Year:
(a) Geography 1150 and 1190
(b) One-half FCE in Interdisciplinary Studies courses at the first year level
(c) One FCE English, French, or Indigenous Language
(d) One FCE elective in Type C or D (General Science 1000 recommended) unless area of specialization is in Type C or D
(e) One-half FCE in Music or Visual Arts (counts as Type A)
(f) One-half FCE elective
(g) Education 1050

Second Year:
(a) Geography 2232, 2251, 2271, 2331, 2351, 2511, 2811
(b) One FCE from Type A or B courses
(c) Education 2050

Note:
It is recommended that students completing the Certificate Program in Geomatics should take Geography 3253 as a Geography elective (normally in Third Year) and take Natural Resources Management 2270 as an open elective (in Second or Third Year).

Third Year:
(a) Two and one-half FCEs in Geography at the third year level
(b) One FCE from Type A or B
(c) One FCE elective (Type C recommended)
(d) One-half FCE in Interdisciplinary Studies at the third year level
(e) One-half FCE Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)
Note: Concurrent Education students should check the timetable for Pre-Professional Program course offerings.


Fourth Year:
(a) Three FCEs in Geography at the fourth-year level
(b) One FCE in Interdisciplinary Studies at the fourth year level
(c) One FCE elective
