Prior to Entry into the BEd Professional Program

In concurrent education programs at the Intermediate-Senior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering degree program prior to entry into the BEd Professional Program including:

1. 1 FCE in English, French or an Indigenous language

2. Education 1050 - Introduction to Education

3. Education 2050 - Introduction to Teaching

4. One half-course Education elective (1 x 0.5 FCE), chosen from the Intermediate/Senior Education Electives list below
Concurrent Education students should check the timetable for Pre-Professional Program course offerings.

5. At least 5 FCEs in a first teachable subject and 3 FCEs in a second teachable subject, with at least one half-course (a minimum of 0.5 FCE) at the third- or fourth-year level in each teachable subject (5 FCEs if the teachable is French or Native Languages, and a Music or Visual Arts/Fine Arts degree if the teachable is Music or Visual Arts).
