Five Year program

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Intermediate/Senior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Bachelor degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements).

Note:
Students must choose two teachable subjects. See Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education, Levels and Teachables.

Note: In order to meet the Indigenous Content Requirement students must take one-half FCE from Type E courses as part of their first three years. 


First Year:
(a) Mathematics 1171, 1172, 1271 and 1272
(b) One FCE in English, French or an Indigenous language
(c) One and one-half FCEs chosen from: Biology 1110/1130, Chemistry 1110/1130, Computer Science
1411/1431, Geography 1150/1190, Geology 1110/1130, Physics 1211/1212. One of these may be in the second
teachable.
(d) Education 1050

Second Year:
(a) Mathematics 2111, 2131, 2255, 2275
(b) One-half FCE chosen from: Biology 1110/1130, Chemistry 1110/1130, Computer Science
1411/1431, Geography 1150/1190, Geology 1110/1130, Physics 1211/1212.
(c) One FCE from Type C
(d) One FCE in the second teachable
(e) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) One FCE in Mathematics at the third or fourth year level
(b) One FCE from Type C
(c) Two FCEs in second teachable with at least one half-course at the third or fourth year level
(d) One-half FCE elective
(e) One-half FCE Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)
