Four Year program
The Honours Bachelor of Music provides students with a comprehensive background in all aspects of music theory, history and performance. This program is designed to prepare students to pursue graduate work or to enter the work force as professional musicians.

First Year:
(a) Music 1312 and 1313
(b) Music 1340
(c) Music Performance: Primary I
(d) Music Performance: Secondary I
(e) Music 1318 and 1333
(f) One FCE elective from Type A or B courses

Second Year:
(a) Music 2314 and 2315
(b) Music 2341
(c) Music Performance: Primary II
(d) Music 2333 and one of: Music 2331, 2332 or 2334
(e) One FCE from Type B courses
(f) One-half FCE elective from Type E courses

Third Year:
(a) Two of: Music 3313, 3316, 3317
(b) Music 3371 and Music 3372 or 3375
(c) Music Performance: Primary III or Music 3800
(d) Music Performance: Secondary II
(e) Music 3333 and one of: Music 3331, 3332 or 3334
(f) Music 3318
(g) Half FCE elective in Music, Music Literature course recommended (Music 3351, 3352, 3353, 3354, 3355, 3356)

Fourth Year:
(a) Music 4314 and one of Music 4315, 4319, 4915
(b) Music 4304 or 4305
(c) Music Performance: Primary IV or Music 4800
(d) Music 4301 or one FCE elective in Music
(e) One of: Music 4331, 4332, 4333, 4334
(f) One FCE elective (one FCE from Type B if not taken in First Year)

 

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement is being met by the inclusion of 0.5 FCE chosen from the list of Type E courses.
