BA (Economics and Political Science Majors) (TB)

Three Year program
Students must have a 60% average in both; their Economics courses, and also in their Political Science courses, in each year of their studies. Business 1056 and 1076, or equivalent, is recommended as an elective course.

Courses will be chosen in consultation with the Department.

Students are required to take one-half FCE in Political Theory from: Political Science 2510, 3515, 3517, 4215, 4330, 4513.

Students are also required to take one-half FCE in International Relations from: Political Science 2335, 2611, 2617, 3311, 3313, 3314, 3617, 3619, 4312, 4315, 4615.

Students are also required to take one-half FCE in Comparative Politics from: Political Science 2339, 3311, 3313, 3319, 3333, 3334, 3337, 3338, 3339, 3359, 3713, 4255, and 4311.


First Year:
(a) Economics 1100
(b) Political Science 1100
(c) One FCE from Type A courses or from History or Mathematics
(d) One FCE from Type C courses
(e) One-half FCE from Type E course list
(f) One-half FCE elective

Second Year:
(a) Economics 2017, 2037 and 2203
(b) Political Science 2110
(c) One and one-half FCEs in Political Science
(d) One FCE elective

Third Year:
(a) Two FCEs in Economics from which at least one and one-half are to be at the third or fourth year levels. These courses are to be chosen in consultation with the Economics Department.
(b) Two FCEs in Political Science from which at least one and one-half are to be at the third or fourth year levels. These courses are to be chosen in consultation with the Political Science Department.
(c) One FCE elective

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement is being met by the inclusion of 0.5 FCE chosen from the list of Type E courses taken as an elective in the first year of the program.

Note: Students who have already taken Political Science 2212 or 2213 cannot take Political Science 2110 for credit.
