Honours BA (Political Science and Women's Studies Majors) (TB)

Four Year program

Political Science courses will be chosen in consultation with the Department of Political Science.

Students are required to take one-half FCE in Political Theory from: Political Science 2510, 3515, 3517, 4215, 4330, 4513.

Students are also required to take one-half FCE in International Relations from: Political Science 2335, 2611, 2617, 3311, 3313, 3314, 3617, 3619, 4312, 4315, 4615.

Students are also required to take one-half FCE in Comparative Politics from: Political Science 2339, 3311, 3313, 3319, 3333, 3334, 3337, 3338, 3339, 3359, 3713, 4255, 4311.

Students are also required to take one-half FCE Political Science in Politics and Gender from:  Political Science 2111 and Political Science 3335.

First Year: 
(a) Women’s Studies 1100
(b) Political Science 1100
(c) One FCE from Type A courses (if Women's Studies 1100 is counted as Type B) or one FCE from Type B courses (if Women's Studies 1100 is counted as Type A)
(e) Two FCE electives

Second Year: 
(a) Political Science 2110
(b) Two FCEs in Political Science at the second year level
(c) One FCE in Women’s Studies Core Courses at the second year level
(d) One FCE in Women’s Studies Group 1 Courses
(e) One-half FCE elective

Third Year: 
(a) Women's Studies 3030
(b) Two FCEs in Political Science at the third year level
(c) One and one-half FCEs in Women's Studies Core Courses at the third year level
(d) One-half FCE elective
(e) Political Science 3351 or Women's Studies 2119

Fourth Year: 
(a) Women's Studies 4010

(c) Two FCEs in Political Science at the fourth year level
(d) One-half FCE in Women's Studies Core Courses at the fourth year level
(e) One FCE in Women's Studies from Group 1 or Group 2 courses at the third or fourth year level
(f) One-half FCE elective

Note: 
1. Courses that are cross-calendared in Political Science and Women's Studies may only be counted towards one of the respective majors.

2. The Indigenous Content Requirement is met by taking 0.5 FCE chosen from Political Science 3351, or Women's Studies 2119.

3. Honours students who do not maintain a 70% average in their major may graduate with a 4-year BA (Women's Studies Major) degree. To qualify for the four-year bachelor's degree, an overall 60% weighted average in all courses in the major subject is required.
