Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement in the Geography programs will be met by taking Geography 1190.

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Intermediate/Senior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Honours degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements)

First Year:
(a) Geography 1170 and 1190
(b) English 1015 and one-half FCE in English at the first year level
(c) One-half FCE from Type B courses (Geography excluded) 
(d) History 1100
(e) One FCE elective in second teaching field (See Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education, Levels and Teachables.)
(f) Education 1050

Second Year:
(a) Geography 2232, 2251, 2271, 2331, 2351
(b) Geography 2511 or 2811
(c) One-half FCE elective
(d) One-half FCE from Type B courses (Geography excluded)
(e) One-half FCE from Type A or B courses
(f) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) Two and one-half FCEs in Geography at the third year level*
(b) Two FCE electives
(c) One-half FCE Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)
Note: Concurrent Education students should check the timetable for Pre-Professional Program course offerings.

Note: *It is recommended that students completing the Certificate Program in Geomatics should take Geography 3253 as a Geography elective (normally in Third Year) and take Natural Resources Management 2270 as an open elective (in Second or Third Year). 

Fourth Year:
(a) Three FCEs in Geography at the fourth year level
(b) Two FCE electives

Fifth and Sixth Years (2-Year Professional Program):
Concurrent Education (Intermediate/Senior) requirements
