Five Year program

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Intermediate/Senior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Honours degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements)

Note:
Students must choose two teachable subjects. See Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education, Levels and Teachables.

First Year:
(a) Geology 1111 and 1131
(b) Chemistry 1110 and 1130
(c) English 1015 and 1016
(d) One FCE elective offered by the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematical Sciences or Physics
(e) One-half FCE in the second teachable subject
(f) Education 1050

Second Year:

(a) Geology 2112, 2213, 2214, 2217, 2310
(b) One-half FCE elective from the list of Type E courses
(c) One FCE elective offered by the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematical Sciences or Physics
(d) One-half FCE in the second teachable subject
(e) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) Geology 3110, 3311, 3410
(b) One FCE electives offered by the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematical Sciences or Physics
(c) Two FCEs in the second teachable subject
(d) One-half FCE Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)

Notes:
1. Concurrent Education students should check the timetable for Pre-Professional Program course offerings.
2. The Indigenous Content Requirement is being met by the inclusion of 0.5 FCE chosen from the list of Type E courses taken as an elective in the 2nd year of the program.
