Bachelor of Arts (History Major)/Bachelor of Education P/J (TB)(O)

Five Year program

The BA (History Major) can be completed on either the Thunder Bay or Orillia campus.

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Primary/Junior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Bachelor degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements.)

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement is being by the inclusion of 0.5 FCE chosen from the list of Type E courses.

First Year:
(a) History 1100
(b) One FCE in English, French or Indigenous Language
(c) One and one-half FCEs from Type B courses
(d) One FCE elective in Science (General Science 1000 recommended) (see Concurrent Education Content Regulations #1, regarding eligible Science courses)
(e) Education 1050

Second Year:
(a) Two FCEs in History at the second year level
(b) One FCE elective from either the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities or the Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies
(c) One FCE in English at the second year level or higher
(d) One half FCE fromType E courses
(e) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) Two FCEs in History at the third year level
(b) One-half FCE in Music or Visual Arts
(c) One FCE elective from either the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities or the Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies
(d) One FCE elective
(e) One-half FCE Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)
