Honours Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy and Psychology Majors) (TB)

Four Year program

This degree program requires an overall 70% average in Psychology courses and an overall 70% average in Philosophy courses. Should this not be attained, students must consult with the Chairs of the Departments of Psychology and Philosophy.

Students in other programs seeking to enter the Honours BA (Philosophy and Psychology) program must obtain an overall 70% average in the Psychology and Philosophy courses of the preceding years and must consult with the Chairs of the departments as additional courses may be required. 

First Year:
(a) One FCE in Philosophy at the first-year level
(b) Psychology 1100
(c) One FCE from Type A courses
(d) One FCE from Type B courses
(e) One-half FCE Type E course
(f) One-half FCE elective. A first year Type C or D course is recommended.

Second Year:
(a) Philosophy 2614
(b) One and one-half FCEs in Philosophy at the second-year level
(c) Psychology 2110
(d) Psychology 2112
(e) Psychology 2013
(f) Psychology 2014
(g) Psychology 2015
(h) Psychology 2011 OR Psychology 2016

Third Year:

(b) One and one-half FCEs in Philosophy at the third or fourth-year level

Fourth Year:
(a) One-half FCE in Philosophy at the third or fourth-year level
(b) One and one-half FCEs in Philosophy at the fourth-year level
(c) One and one-half FCEs Psychology at the third or fourth year level
(d) One and one-half FCEs Psychology at the fourth year level

*Students who are contemplating graduate studies or other research activities in Psychology are urged to take Specialized Honours in Psychology.

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement is met by the inclusion of one-half FCE chosen from the list of Type E courses.
