Five Year program

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Primary/Junior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Bachelor degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements)

First Year:
(a) Sociology 1100
(b) One FCE in English, French or Indigenous Language
(c) One-half FCE elective from Type A courses
(d) One FCE in Science (General Science 1000 recommended) (see Concurrent Bachelor of Education, Concurrent Content Regulations #1, regarding eligible Science courses)
(e) One FCE electives from Type B courses
(f) Education 1050

Second Year:

(a) Sociology 2111 and 2911
(b) One FCE in Sociology
(c) Two and one-half FCE electives
(d) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) Sociology 3501
(b) One FCE in Sociology at the third or fourth year level
(c) One-half FCE in Music or Visual Arts
(d) One and one-half FCE electives
(e) Sociology 2755 or Sociology 3818.
(f) One-half FCE Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement is being met by taking either Sociology 2755 or 3818 in the third year of the program.
