**** The Indigenous Content requirement is met by taking Sociology 2755, a Type E course. This course may be taken at any time in the 3rd or 4th year of the program.

Notes for students who entered the program before Fall 2020

  • Students who join Year 3 in Fall 2020 or later must follow the program for Year 3 and Year 4; i.e., take three (3) technical electives and Chemical Engineering 4011 Computer-Aided Design for Chemical Engineering as a required course.
  • Students who joined Year 3 before Fall 2020 must take four (4) technical electives. These students are strongly advised to take Chemical Engineering 0334 Computer-Aided Design for Chemical Engineering as one of their technical electives.

Notes for students who entered the program before Fall 2017

  • Students who joined Year 1 before Fall 2017 must pass Chemistry 2231 (Organic Chemistry II).

  • Students in the Post-Diploma Bachelor of Engineering Program who have been assigned Chemistry 2231 (Organic Chemistry II) as a make-up course must pass this course to fulfill their make-up requirements.

  • Students who join Year 3 in Fall 2017 or later must follow the program for Year 3 and Year 4.  

  • Students who joined Year 3 before September 2017 must pass Math 4030 (Probability and Statistics).

  • Students who joined Year 3 before September 2017 and have not passed Engineering 3453 (Heat Transfer Design) must pass Mechanical Engineering 3454 (Applied Heat Transfer).

  • Students who have not passed Engineering 4150 (Chemical Reactor Design) in Fall 2017 or earlier must pass both Chemical Engineering 4150 and Chemical Engineering 4231 (Reactor Engineering and Process Control Laboratory).

  • Students who joined Year 3 before Fall 2017 and have not passed Mathematics 3050 (Numerical Analysis and Computing) must pass Mathematics 3050 or Software Engineering 3558 (Numerical Methods and Modelling).
