Five Year program

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Intermediate/Senior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Bachelor degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements)

Students must choose two teachable subjects. Anthropology courses listed as Science credits (Type C) may be counted toward a General Science teachable. See Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education, Levels and Teachables.

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement in the Anthropology programs is met by taking Anthropology 1034.

First Year:
(a) Anthropology 1032 and 1034
(b) Two FCE electives in teachable subject
(c) One half-course in a Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
(d) One FCE in English, French or Indigenous Language
(e) Education 1050

Second Year:
(a) Anthropology 2110, 2112, 2137, 2151, 2515, 2517
(b) One and one-half FCE electives
(c) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) Three FCEs in Anthropology at the third year level or higher
(b) One FCE in teachable subject
(c) One half-course elective
(d) One haf-course Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)
*Education 3239 may be taken for credit more than once if the topics are different.
