Honours Bachelor of Science (Chemistry Major with Concentration in Medical Sciences) (TB)

In order to remain in the program, students must maintain at least an overall 70% average in all Chemistry courses taken in the program.

First Year:
(a) Chemistry 1111, 1131
(b) Mathematics 1171 and 1172
(c) Physics 1211 and 1212
(d) One FCE electives from: Anthropology 1032, Biology 1110, 1130, Computer Science 1411,1431, Geology 1110, 1130
(e) One FCE electives in humanities or social sciences, excluding Mathematics and Computer Science (see the list of Type A and Type B courses)

Second Year:
(a) Chemistry 2111, 2211, 2231, 2351, 2411, 2412
(b) Biology 2230
(c) Mathematics 2111, 2310
(d) One-half FCE elective

Third Year:
(a) Chemistry 3131, 3210, 3231, 3251, 3271, 3371, 3451
(b) Physics 3511
(c) One FCE electives; must include one-half FCE from Type E if not taken in a previous year

Fourth Year:
(a) Two and one-half FCEs chosen from: Chemistry 4111, 4210, 4212, 4213, 4214, 4516, 4901 (see note)
(b) One-half FCE chosen from: Chemistry 3711, 4211, 4311, 4515, 4710
(c) Two FCE electives

Note: Chemistry 4111 and 4901 are co-requisites and must be taken together (1.5 FCE) if a 4th-year research project is done; the project must be performed in the general field of medical science, subject to approval of the Chair of the Department of Chemistry.

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement is being met by the inclusion of a 0.5 FCE Type E course take at any year level.
