Five Year program

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement in the Geography programs will be met by taking Geography 1190.

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Intermediate/Senior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Bachelor degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements)

Note: Students must choose two teachable subjects. See Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education, Levels and Teachables.

First Year:
(a) Geography 1170 and 1190
(b) English 1015 and one-half FCE in English at the first year level
(c) Two and one-half FCEs from Type C courses (Geography excluded)
(d) Education 1050

Second Year:
(a) Two FCEs from Geography 2232, 2331, 2351, 2511, 2811
(b) One FCE in second teachable subject (See Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education, Levels and Teachables.)
(c) One and one-half FCEs from Type C courses (Geography excluded)
(d) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) One FCE from Geography 3611, 3631, 3633, 3671, 3691, 3693
(b) One FCE in Geography at the third year level
(c) One FCE in second teachable subject
(d) One FCE from Type C courses
(e) One-half FCE elective
(f) One-half FCE Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)
