## Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics and Economics Majors) (TB)

Three Year program

In co-operation with the Department of Mathematics, a program leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in both these disciplines, is offered for students with a strong interest in mathematics. Such students will be required to fulfill the following course requirements:**First Year:**

(a) Economics 1100

(b) Mathematics 1171 and 1172

(c) One FCE from Type B courses

(d) One FCE chosen from: English, History 1100, or Philosophy 1100 or one FCE combination of Philosophy 1117, 1118 or 1119

(e) One FCE elective from Type C courses (Mathematics or Economics excluded)**Second Year:**

(a) Economics 2017, 2037 and 2203

(b) Mathematics 1271, 1272, 2111, 2131, 2255 and 2275**Third Year:**

(a) Two FCEs in economics at the third or fourth year levels

(b) One FCE elective in Mathematics

(c) One-half FCE from Type E course list

(d) One and one-half FCE electives

Note: Students with adequate marks may be eligible to proceed to the Fourth Year of an Honours BA in Economics or Mathematics provided they make up the required number of courses. Students should consult the relevant Department.

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement is being met by the inclusion of 0.5 FCE chosen from the list of Type E courses taken as an elective in the third year of the program.
