An introductory exploration of current cancer care modalities and concepts, designed to meet the needs of students in health programs and professionals working in northern, rural and remote communities. Theories and principles underlying community cancer care focusing on epidemiology, research, health care policy, primary health care, and ethical challenges. The role of the health care professional will be discussed as it relates to providing community-based cancer care across the lifespan.
