Engineering 6701 PhD Comprehensive Examination
The comprehensive examination will assess the student's general preparedness for the PhD degree and specific areas in his or her chosen area of study and research. The exam will also assess the student's ability to integrate material from divergent areas, to reconcile theoretical, methodological and empirical issues, and to think critically and creatively.
Credit Weight: 1.0
Grade Scheme: Pass/Fail
Notes: May only be taken by PhD students in Engineering. Must be taken no later than the fourth term of the PhD program.
