Law 1040 Criminal Law
Criminal Law is a survey course intended to introduce students to substantive and procedural aspects of Canadian criminal law. The "substantive" portion of the course is concerned with defining "criminal" conduct and the recognition of defences. The "procedural" portion provides a broad overview of the criminal process, examines the impact of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and explores protections for individual rights under criminal law.
