Offers a survey of the diverse experiences of women in Canada from the 1500s to the 1800s. Emphasizes the ways in which race/ethnicity, class, gender, and sexuality shaped the lives of women in Canada. Consideration is given to women's voice through diaries, journals, and material goods.
