Political Science 2111 Gender and Politics
Using a range of theoretical and methodological approaches, this course examines theories about sex, sexuality, and gender as they apply to Canadian and international politics, including major legal, political, social, and economic developments. The course will explore the ways in which sex, sexuality, and gender-based theories, research, and political practice interact with key political concepts such as the public-private distinction, contract, rights, justice, colonialism, identity, and theories of power.
