A critical inquiry into the characteristics, causes, and consequences of various forms of violence from biological, psychological, and sociological perspectives. Topics could include serial and mass murder, state violence, international conflict, workplace homicide, hate crimes, violence in sport, genocide, violence in the media, school massacres, and violence against women.
