An exploration of our use of energy and the difficult choices required to sustainably meet the demands of the future. Topics include extraction and conversion of primary energy supplies (fossil fuels and alternatives), generation and distribution of electricity, and consumption of energy for food production, transportation, and domestic and commercial purposes. Throughout efficiency and waste are considered, along with the impacts of energy consumption on environmental quality and human health.
