Outdoor Recreation 2350 Outdoor Skills and Theory II
An experiential and conceptual introduction to winter outdoor recreation. Designed to provide students with an increased awareness and appreciation for winter as an environment for both educational and recreational activities. Particular emphasis will be placed on risk management and safety, basic outdoor equipment design & creation, exposure to and skill development in a variety of self-propelled outdoor activities, an understanding of snow science and ecology, and leadership skills.
