Dimensionless formulation of natural laws and similarity theory. Theoretical principles in the formulation of models. Classification of hydrologic and hydraulic models, model construction techniques, calibration and validation procedures. Hands-on experience with current numerical models (HEC1, HEC2, CFA, ILLUDAS, SWMM, etc.) in water resources engineering. Projects and case studies with design for minimum environmental impacts.
