New Changes for the 2007-2008 Lakehead University Calendar

 

The following summary outlines changes from previous 2006-2007 academic programs, courses, regulations and admission requirements, approved by the Senate of Lakehead University, that will appear in the hard copy of the 2007-2008 Calendar and are meant to become effective for the 2007-2008 academic year. The changes already appear in this web calendar. Additional changes and updates that do not require the approval of the Senate of the University and are not mentioned below, are posted directly into the web calendar as they become effective. Items approved by Senate, or particularly noteworthy items, that do not appear in the 2007-2008 hard copy calendar by publication date will also be summarized in an Addendum to the Calendar.

  Application Forms:
- add policy for students who have been required to withdraw, for academic reasons, from another post-secondary institution (not eligible for consideration for admission to another institution for 12 months) in Undergraduate Application Procedure section
Academic Minor Programs:
-changes in the minor in Program Patterns (II Requirements for Admission to Undergraduate Degree Programs)
Beginning in September 2007, a student entering Year 1 will be recommended to declare, by the end of Year 2, any minor he/she chooses to take while in a four-year degree program. All minors and changes to minors must be declared by the end of September registration in Year 4.
Advanced Standing Credits:
In III Requirements for Admission to Degree Programs with Advanced Standing, add new section "Bible Colleges" to specify requirements for advanced standing credits from Bible Colleges.
