Transfer and Mature Students

The following awards are specific to students with Canadian citizenship or who have Permanent Resident status entering Lakehead University from a community college, another university or entering as a mature/adult student with no previous post-secondary education.

Lakehead University Mature Student Bursary
Number awarded varies.
$1,000 (TUBUI)
Awarded to undergraduate Mature (no previous post-secondary) students on the basis of financial need. Eligibility requirements: financial need; Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status and full-time enrolment. Application available on the Office of Student Financial Aid and Awards website.
Deadline: July 6, 2007.

Lakehead University Transfer Scholarships
Value varies from $500 to $1,000 (LUTSI)
Open to transfer students who register in full-time undergraduate studies at Lakehead University in a diploma or first degree program. Eligibility requirements: Awarded on the basis of full-time academic performance in most recent year of post-secondary studies. Studies must have been undertaken in an academic program at an accredited Community College or University; Students need not have completed a diploma program but must not have completed a first degree; Canadian citizens or permanent resident status. Scholarship values depend on the quality and number of eligible students in a given year. Application available on the Office of Student Financial Aid and Awards website.
Application deadline June 22 and September 21, 2007.
