Summary of New Changes for the 2008-2009 Lakehead University Calendar

The following summary outlines changes from previous 2007-2008 academic programs, courses, regulations and admission requirements, approved by the Senate of Lakehead University, that will appear in the hard copy of the 2008-2009 Calendar and are meant to become effective for the 2008-2009 academic year. The changes already appear in this web calendar. Additional changes and updates that do not require the approval of the Senate of the University and are not mentioned below, are posted directly into the web calendar as they become effective. Items approved by Senate, or particularly noteworthy items, that do not appear in the 2008-2009 hard copy calendar by publication date will also be summarized later in an Addendum to the Calendar.

3. Students who have taken Mathematics 1052 ­ Introductory Calculus I and Mathematics 1072 ­ Introductory Calculus II, can be given credit for Mathematics 1077 ­ Sequences and Series and Mathematics 1078 ­ Elementary Calculus.
4. Students who have taken Mathematics 1052 but not Mathematics 1072 cannot be given credit for either Mathematics 1077 or Mathematics 1078.
