The Masters in Sociology (with Specialization in Social Justice Studies) Research Paper Program consists of Sociology 5111 - Problems and Issues in Sociology and Sociology 5112 - Quantitative Methods or Sociology 5113 - Qualitative Methods, Social Justice 5030, and Sociology 5920 (9920) - Research Paper (1.0 FCE), plus 1.0 FCE electives from Social Justice Studies, and a 0.5 FCE elective in Sociology, for a total of 4.0 FCEs. With the permission of the student's supervisor and Graduate Coordinator, 1.0 FCE at the fourth year level may be substituted for 1.0 FCE at the graduate level. The research paper must be supervised by a faculty member in Sociology who has membership in Social Justice Studies as well.
