The MA Sociology (Specialization in Social Justice Studies) (Thesis Option) consists of Sociology 5111 - Problems and Issues in Sociology and Sociology 5112 - Quantitative Methods or Sociology 5113 - Qualitative Methods, Social Justice Studies 5030, and Sociology 5901 (9901) - Master's Thesis (2.0 FCEs), plus a 0.5 FCE elective in Social Justice Studies. With the permission of the student's supervisor and Graduate Coordinator 1.0 FCE at the fourth year level may be substituted for 1.0 FCE at the graduate level. Theses must be approved as a Social Justice Studies topic, and be conducted under the supervision of a faculty member in Sociology who has membership in Social Justice Studies.
