Bachelor of Arts (Psychology Major)/Bachelor of Education P/J (TB)

Five Year program

This degree program requires an overall 60% average in Psychology courses. Should this not be attained, students must consult with the Chair of he Department of Psychology. A minimum cumulative average of 65% is required.

Prior to Entry into the 2-Year Professional Program
In concurrent Education programs at the Primary/Junior level, students must meet and complete requirements of the partnering Bachelor degree program including all Pre-Professional Program Education requirements. (See Concurrent Degree Programs Information for Education requirements.)

First Year: 
(a) Psychology 1100
(b) One FCE in English, French or Indigenous Language
(c) One FCE from Type A courses
(d) One FCE electives in Science (General Science 1000 recommended) (see Concurrent Education Content Regulations #1, regarding eligible Science courses)
(e) One-half FCE in Music or Visual Arts
(f) Education 1050

Second Year:
(a) Psychology 2110
(b) Psychology 2013
(c) Psychology 2014
(d) Psychology 2015
(e) Psychology 2011 
(f) One-half FCE Type E course
(g) One-half FCE open elective, second year level or higher
(h) One FCE Type B courses
(i) Education 2050

Third Year:
(a) Choose one of: Psychology 3114, Psychology 3013, Psychology 3014, Psychology 3019
(b) Psychology 3016 OR Psychology 3017
(c) Two FCEs Psychology (1.5 FCEs must be at the third or fourth year level)
(d) One-half FCE Education elective (see Electives in the Department of Undergraduate Studies in Education Courses list)
(e) One FCE open electives, second year level or higher
(f) One-half FCE non-psychology elective, second year level or higher
