A cross-disciplinary course in instrumental analysis and research methodology, primarily intended for students who are concurrently enrolled in a research course. Students choose three modules from a series of offerings that can include cell culture techniques, DNA sequencing, infrared spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, optical microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, paper testing, sample/data management, scanning electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction spectroscopy.
