Undergraduate Programs in the Faculty of Education

The Faculty of Education offers the following:

1. Pre-service programs:

(i) concurrent education programs that lead to a Bachelor of Education and one of the following undergraduate degrees:

Bachelor of Arts
Bachelor of Arts and Sciences
Honours Bachelor of Arts
Honours Bachelor of Arts and Sciences
Honours Bachelor of Environmental Science
Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies
Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts
Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology
Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation
Honours Bachelor of Science

(ii) two-year consecutive Bachelor of Education programs for holders of approved university degrees

(iii) an Honours Bachelor of Education (Indigenous Education) degree for students of Indigenous ancestry

(iv) a concurrent program with a Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Learning, for students of Indigenous ancestry who wish to teach at the Intermediate-Senior level (our Indigenous Teacher Education Program)

(v) Indigenous Languages Teacher Diploma, a four-year Summer school program, with online courses between sessions, designed to meet the needs of people who will be instructing in an Indigenous language environment

These programs prepare teachers for both elementary and secondary teaching and meet Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) requirements for a Teacher's Certificate of Qualification for Ontario which will permit the holder to teach in Ontario Schools.
