Through experiential, collaborative, and interdisciplinary learning, students will be introduced to the historical, social, cultural contexts of school-based health promotion endorsed by the World Health Organization. With a focus on equity based practice, students will be given an opportunity to question popular understandings of health, and to think critically about their roles as health promoters.
