Introduces key issues for understanding the health and sustainability of Canada’s food systems by making connections between theoretical concepts and real-world issues. Students will critically examine the interrelationships between health, the economy, environment and social justice. The focus will be on the challenges as well as how groups of people are responding to these challenges through grassroots organizing, community development initiatives and policy change.
