Building on a foundation of basic decision-making techniques, examines the problems and concepts prevalent in various kinds of organizations with respect to planning, scheduling, layout, work study methods, and inventory control. Where possible these problems will be examined using some of the more basic models from operations research such as economic lot-size model and PERT-CPM.
