Fundamental concepts and molecular mechanisms of protein function, including enzyme catalysis, receptor activation and transport proteins. Additional topics will include regulatory mechanisms, bionconjugation chemistry and molecular recognition with a focus on drug design, aberrant protein activity in disease, and medical diagnostics.
