A study of Science Fiction texts, which may include novels, short fiction, graphic novels, film, and/or television, as well as theory and criticism about the genre. Topics to be discussed may include science and technology, environmentalism, extrapolation about the future, gender and sexuality, identity and difference, and linear and non-linear time.

One FCE in English or Media, Film, and Communications at the first-year level or second-year standing, or permission of the Chair of the Department of English.
