Continuing the study of the history of Western music, concentrating on the music of the Romantic era. Topics include middle and late Beethoven, the piano music of Schubert, Liszt and Chopin, Italian verismo opera and the symphonies of Mendelssohn, Brahms, Franck and Mahler.
